Dear team,
This Sunday’s ride will be a little longer than the usual 30 miles. From Mike’s Bikes in Los Gatos, we will head to Steven’s Canyon to ascend Montebello road in the clockwise direction, approaching Montebello via Highway 9 and Pierce Rd. Before beginning the ascent, we will stop for bathroom and water at the intersection of Mt. Eden and Steven’s Canyon (left hand side from the direction we will be approaching). This bathroom/water stop is before the midpoint of the ride, so we can include a second bathroom/water stop after descending Montebello if needed. We will head back to Mike’s Bikes Los Gatos after completing the climb and descent via Cupertino and Saratoga neighborhoods.
The ride is 36.5 miles with 3900 ft of elevation gain. Wheels roll at 8:35 am sharp. The link to the route is below:
